Mangrove Bay Golf Course

Mangrove Bay Golf Course is a Municipal course run by the city of St. Petersburg.  It's one of the best city owned courses in Tampa Bay, which explains why it's usually so crowded.  They also have a great driving range and practice facility that's also lighted and open at night.  The driving range is always crowded also, LOL!

We've seen a lot of wildlife while out on the course including racoons, snakes, alligators, ospreys, turtles, jumping fish and lots of other birds.  Below is a photo of my Dad showing off one of the many "Beware of Rattlesnakes" signs posted around the course.  

My 80 year old Dad played well, shooting a 92 and I shot 83 a couple days ago, so be sure to check out this fine Muni course.

We were there again recently, so I took these two photos.  One is of the huge practice putting green in front of the club house and the other is of the driving range.  The driving range is the only one in St. Pete that I'm aware of, so it's always crowded.

In a recent tournamebnt Tiger Woods was admonished and fined by the PGA for spitting on the golf course. A green in this case.  I watched today as other golfers played in the Valero Texas Open and spit also.  Will they be "wacked" for 75,000 as Tiger was?
Todays spitting that I seen was not on a green but in the fareway.
