We really like to go to Carmelita's.  They have several locations we have been to in Largo and Seminole.  Check out their link below.

We also like Miguel's Cafe in Tampa because it's close to home.

Carmelita's... Re: Favorite Mexican Restaurants

Since we posted this message over a year ago, we have decided that Carmelita's is our absolutely favorite Latino food restaurant in the Tampa Bay area.  The service is great, the drinks and the food are superb and we especially like the house Margaritas and the house Sangria!  Whoo Hoo!

Carmelita's is open and airy, bright and cheery and they have several locations.  We have been there at least every month or every other month since I posted the first message in Feb. of 2010.  The only problem is that we have to travel at least 20-25 minutes across Tampa Bay to go there.

On the other hand, Miguel's Cafe is only 10 minutes down Kennedy Blvd. from where we live and we enjoy it, but the place is small and parking is limited.  The tables are too close together and it's dark in there, so we almost need a flash light to read the menu.  I don't like to sit right next to another table and hear their conversation and my 81 year old Father feels the same way, so all of us have preferred to meet at Carmelita's instead.

Secondly, I am fond of Chiles Rellenos and Miguel's must have gotten a new cook since the first time I had them there.  They just didn't taste the same and I want the same taste when I order them again.

I prefer the Chiles Rellenos at Carmelita's if you want my honest opinion.  They taste the exact same lovely flavor every time and that's how it should be if you order the same thing at each restaurant.  You expect to have the same enjoyable experience.  The really weird thing is that I hated stuffed peppers when I was younger, but Carmelita's stuffed peppers are simply awesome!

My family definitely prefers the brightly lit, open area of Carmelita's over Miguel's cramped and dim interior.  Like anyone else, we frequent the places we prefer.

Can anyone tell me what the scene is like at the Serveuse Sexy Restaurants? The last time I went to those places, the waitresses were scantily dress sometimes topless I understand that they are now nude, can anyone verify this?

Dude, if you Google "Serveuse Sexy Restaurant" the restaurant that comes up is in Montreal, Canada and the language is French.  This message board is about the Tampa Bay Area of Florida in the United States of America!  Montreal is nearly 2,000 miles away and the restaurant is in another country, so get a passport and consult a map before you go there.  LOL!

We went to Carmelita's again this week, only this time it was for lunch.  The portions are smaller, but so are the prices, so we weren't as full afterwards!  LOL!  Carmelita's is still our favorite Latino restaurant.
